These patches will load into a QV or QV+. I cannot vouch for thememory architecture of the QV GT or the Q2, so I don't know if theywill work there. Try them and let me know!

WARNING from Karl Schmidt: There is a problem with the Quadraverbseries MIDI system exclusive data communications which in very rarecases, can cause the Quadraverb to lock up if there are communicationproblems. Switching the Quadraverb off and on will not fix theproblem. The only way to resolve the problem is to press the programand bypass buttons down as the Quadraverb is turned on, and to holdthem down until the unit displays the edit buffer patch. This willinitialize all programs and settings to their factory defaults.

Individual patches

From: gwatts@cv.hp.com (gary watts) Several folks were interested in a review of the Alesis Quadraverb 2 so I am providing my initial impressions. I only had last night to get it set up in my rack and run thru the basic 'tests' and factory programs. Bottom line, this is a very good processor at any price and an excellent buy for the money ($799. This is the best preset on the quadraverb.amp: JC40. Alesis is currently saying they are not going to release the QuadraVerb info 'at this time'. That could mean the 'format' is subject to change, or they are withholding the info until some pet software companies get QV patch editors to the market, or maybe some other reason, I dunno. In any event, I needed the info, so I created it. Featured Support Articles. MacOS 10.15 Catalina Support for Alesis. AlesisEach of these patches is stored in its 155-byte SysEx format. Theyare all set up to load into the EDIT BUFFER, and thus will notoverwrite your programs unless you STORE them. They should beloadable using any generic system exclusive program.

  • Pete Lyall: some original guitar patches.
    • qv90 - Always with me.This was inspired by Joe Satriani's song 'Always with me,Always with you' from the 'Surfing with the Alien' LP.Best if fed by a highly saturated bitey distortion.
    • qv91 - Fat Rich Funk.Put your amp in a clean channel with lots of high and low EQ (dip themidrange), put your stratocaster in the neck (or combined neck & middle)pickup position, and funk out.
    • qv92 - Always2.A sweeter variation on QV90. I use this a lot.
    • qv93 - FatCity Flange. An eccentric wide flanging sound. Probably best for distorted guitar.
    • qv94 - Tasteful Detune.Really widens the guitar out and gives it personality. Clean ordistorted.
    • qv95 - PINGPONG DELAY.A variation on the basic pingpong delay. Good for slow, sultry solos.
    • qv96 - Crunch Rhythm.Just like it says. Feed it a bright distortion, and come out withsomething between a Rockman and a Marshall.
  • David Grant: two general-purpose drum patches.

Patch Banks

Each of these files is 14708 bytes, and contains 100 patches. They are stored in SysEx format, ready for loading.Note! They will overwrite your QV memory.
